Quitting Cold Turkey...

This might sound silly but I seriously needed to stop cold turkey. I had a habit of making myself a hot cup of coffee and eating 3-4 chocolate chip cookies EVERY DAY.

I was eating so much sugar each day which contributed to my daily headaches, energy downfall at around noon each day plus my belly pooch was not going away. (Hmmm I wonder why!)

This was seriously a problem that I needed to address. I made a decision to start eating healthier so that I can teach my daughter to eat healthy too. This led me to stop. It was not easy, I mean I ate this for breakfast every.single.day. It's kinda embarrassing to acknowledge it now.

I think many of us have go-to-feel-good snack/food that we know is not good for us but we have refused to acknowledge it.

According to the CDC, 3 in 5 Americans aged 2 years and older exceed the recommendation to consume less than 10% of their total daily calories from added sugars on a given day.

Living a healthy lifestyle can be a challenge, especially when we are surrounded by so many fast food restaurants.

But I believe that if we take it day by day, we can start to form new healthy habits. It starts with wanting to make the change.
